Microsoft Outlook Configuration
1. Open Microsoft Outlook. On the Welcome to Outlook window, click Next to proceed with the setup.
2. Select Yes and click Next.
3. Choose the Manual setup or additional server types option and select Next.
4. Tick the POP or IMAP option to use a custom email address and click Next.
5. Enter your name and email address on the POP and IMAP Account Settings page.
6. Click the Account Type dropdown menu and choose POP or IMAP under Server Information.
7. Fill in the Incoming and Outgoing mail server (SMTP) fields with the mail server details given below.
8. Under Logon Information, enter your email address and password and tick Remember password.
9. Click the More Settings button.
10. Click the Outgoing Server tab on the Internet E-mail Settings window.
11. Tick My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
12. Go to the Advanced tab and enter the email server port numbers in the Incoming server (IMAP) and Outgoing server (SMTP) fields.
13. Under Incoming server (IMAP), expand the Use the following type of encrypted connection dropdown menu and choose SSL.
14. Click OK to confirm the changes.
15. Once you are back on the Add Account page, click Next to proceed. The Test Account Settings window will appear if the email address is successfully connected to Outlook.
16. Click Close, and another window will appear, informing that the setup process is complete. Click Finish to close the window.
Set up your email account in Gmail, follow these steps:
1. Go to Gmail’s settings page by clicking on your profile picture in the top-right corner and selecting “Settings.”
2. Scroll down to the “Accounts and Import” section and select “Add a mail account.”
3. Choose the type of mail account you want to add (POP3, IMAP, SMTP).
4. Enter your name, email address, and password for the account.
You will also need to enter the incoming and outgoing server names, those can be found below:
IMAP (Outlook)
Incoming mail server IMAP: mail.your domain name.com
Incoming mail server IMAP port: 993
User name IMAP: your mailbox/email address
Password IMAP: your mailbox/email password
Outcoming mail server SMTP: mail.your domain name.com
Outcoming mail server SMTP port: 25
User name IMAP: your mailbox/email address
Password SMTP: your mailbox/email password
IMAP (Gmail App)
Incoming mail server IMAP: mail.your domain name.com
Incoming mail server IMAP port: 993
User name IMAP: your mailbox/email address
Password IMAP: your mailbox/email password
Outcoming mail server SMTP: mail.your domain name.com
Outcoming mail server SMTP port: 465
User name IMAP: your mailbox/email address
Password SMTP: your mailbox/email password
Incase you want to configure the email account with a third party Software, you can use below settings:
Incoming (host) emails: cloud2.businessmedia.ca
Outgoing (host) emails: cloud2.businessmedia.ca
Port number: As for ports, you can go a few ways. I would suggest using IMAP so the incoming port would be either 143 or 993.
Outgoing typically would use 587 or 465.
Username: your mailbox/email address
Password: your mailbox/email password
